This project aspires to participate in a new urban dynamics while at the same time preserving a strong landscaping identity. Drawing advantage from the site’s insular character, it creates discrete links with the existent on its shores, then experiments a laboratory of protected life in its midst, seeking the countryside in the heart of the town.Three N/S networks irrigate the site, making use of its constraints. Distinct innovative typologies favouring social connections find their source in the differentiated forms of land occupation. In order to reconcile the individualistic rural dream and the need for a collective urban effervescence, the project invents its own version of the sustainable urban villa. Along the 5th and 6th facades, private life subtly interweaves with public, generating in this unprecedented topographic complexity a vast number of uses on which to found the community.
