1. How do you define the main issue of your project in relation with the theme “Living Cities Imagining architecture taking care of the milieus”? And in which way do you think your project can contribute to an ecological and/or social evolution?
Our primary concern centers on the adaptive reuse of existing structures, aspiring to transform the area into a space that not only evolves with its surroundings but does so sustainably and inclusively.

2. How did the issues of your design and the questions raised by the site mutation meet?
"Glänta" is guided by the potential of the existing structures, striving for a balance between conservation and adaptation, to address the challenges posed by the site mutation.

PROJECT:

3. Have you treated these issues previously? What were the reference projects that inspired yours?
Our method seeks inspiration in the existing structures, aiming for a dialogue between the past and the future. In every project we do, we aspire to emphasize the existing qualities by revitalizing and strengthening what is already present.

4. How can your project be implemented together with the actors through a negotiated process and in time. How did you consider this issue in your project?
The project adopts a phased development strategy, engaging residents and end-users at every step. Through workshops and ongoing dialogues, we set out for an inclusive decision-making process, contributing to a resilient evolution of the site over time.

REFERENCES:

5. How did you form the team for the competition and if so what are the skills you associated?
We are two friends who has been collaborating on several projects since architectural school.

6. How could this prize help you in your professional career?
To have our proposal acknowledged validates our methods to work with the existing structures. Hopefully this recognition will open doors to future projects that share a similar ethos.
