1. How do you define the main issues of your project in relation with the theme “Re-sourcing”? Re-sourcing thanks to nature, to social dynamics, to new materiality? In which way do you think your project can contribute to an ecological and/or social evolution? And in which way do you think your project can be called a “regenerative project”?
“Staging the Scene” identifies the existing buildings, landscape and social fabric of Gottsunda as key resources. Rather than demolishing or replacing them, the project builds on what is already there through reuse, salvaged materials, technical strategies and by strengthening the existing community.

2. How did the issues of your design and the questions raised by the site mutation meet?
Positioned between a growing urban context and the large green areas of Gottsunda, the project responds to the site’s ongoing transformation. By introducing new connections, openings and shifts in scale, it strengthens the relationship between city and landscape.

PROJECT:

3. Have you treated these issues previously? What were the reference projects that inspired yours?
Reuse and transformation are recurring themes in my work. I am inspired by projects where I explore how existing structures can be reactivated through strategic interventions and technical solutions that amplify existing potentials.

SITE:

4. How can your project be implemented together with the actors through a negotiated process and in time. How did you consider this issue in your project?
The proposal is structured as a phased, flexible and open-ended process rather than a fixed end state. Platforms for collaboration, testing and ongoing negotiation are established to allow the site to evolve together with local actors.

REFERENCES:

5. How did you form the team for the competition and if so what are the skills you associated?
The project was developed independently.

6. How could this prize help you in your professional career?
It is a recognition of my method for working with the reuse and transformation of existing conditions and their qualities. It supports my ambition to continue exploring these themes within complex urban contexts.
