“Insertus” (Latin): fragment of live flesh which is implanted in any part of the human body to repair an injury.
“Linzertus” (Europan 11): urban regeneration therapy composed of several programmatic grafts to activate the Tabakfabrik buildings, creating a new life cycle in the neighbourhood (updating Tabakfabrik). This precision healing therapy will be done over time, through step-by-step implementation.
A link between the Tabakfabrik and the city is created using the local colour “Linzer Blue”. A variety of blue grafts operate in several phases over time to reactivate the complex, with a high degree of visibility and a positive impact on the surrounding neighbourhoods.
A strategy of potentials and opportunities resolves the current situation: from island to permeable location.
