The proposal for the site starts from a very simple and clear decision: to built a single family housing strips, each house looking toward the see. The project aim in constructing the living area in the landscape is to use the two existing landscape elements - the incline with panoramic view of Kvarner bay and plain with programmatic craters for development and transformation of the site. The idea is to create a kind of “stressed topography” area on a plain, determined by elements of a medium “leisure-scapes”. The proposal is to extend that area of “democratic space” (acces-sible by great user group) along the plain until future botanical garden. Artificial and nature open areas are considered to be used in the same way either as habitable or closed spaces. Vertical living “housing with a view” and horizontal living “housing with a garden”, are combined in order to framed the existing landscape. Neutral typology and the extension area of the living units allow flexibility comparing to the space and organisation of the living area.

This project is connected to the following themes
Housing - Community
By following the topographical lines, the linear typology offers a generous interface between housing units and communal space, while providing a strong visual relation to the landscape.
Shared spaces - Programmatic patchwork
The strips of the master plan are organised around a flat area. This area constitutes a “democratic space” where a range of topographically directed programmes are used to construct a public space.
Nature - Proximity / Horizon
The parallel distribution of the topography permits a landscape of gradation leading from the garden scale to the territorial scale by means of a system of parks.
