1. How do you define the main issues of your project in relation with the theme “Re-sourcing”? Re-sourcing thanks to nature, to social dynamics, to new materiality? In which way do you think your project can contribute to an ecological and/or social evolution? And in which way do you think your project can be called a “regenerative project”?
Our goal is to create new dynamics from the social and solidarity economy at the heart of the territory. Revitalize the city on each season by activating an exceptional site with own natural spaces and highly adaptable architecture. We propose to transform a former enclave into a site where interests from across the territory converge, a place ready to be nurtured by strong and collective ideas.
2. How did the issues of your design and the questions raised by the site mutation meet?
It seemed essential to us to combine public policy objectives with the ambitions of economic stakeholders within a shared governance framework, thereby linking all actors to the core issue: the site's vitality. While protecting it from any land pressure, the site remains highly adaptable and continuously renewable, making it a driver of its own equilibrium.
PROJECT:
We address these challenges daily, reshaping neglected or repurposed spaces and defending a long-term vision in spatial design, imbuing them with adaptability as a foundation for our work. This allows us to continuously build collaborative projects, a new area of focus for architects, ranging from participatory housing to citizen-led initiatives.
SITE:
Collaboration is at the very heart of our proposal with 4 identified phases: awaken, reactivate, deploy, federate. The objective is to work in the short term to clearly define the challenges and aspirations with a wide range of actors, thereby paving the way for a convergence of interests in the long term. Initiate a political dynamic that leads to economic continuity.
REFERENCES:
We have complementary experience, ranging from housing and facilities to architectural programming. Together, we have experience in public and private project management, as well as mixed projects. These various elements seemed essential to us for the Jullouville site, given the ambitions we have for our project of common interest arround of the Social and Solidarity Economy.
6. How could this prize help you in your professional career?
Our inclusion in the rankings can help us launch our agency, raising our profile and providing a solid reference recognized by our peers. This will allow us to present our programmatic and architectural ambitions to project owners for projects rooted in their local areas and looking towards the future, starting with Jullouville.
