EUROPAN 18 – a European competition of urban, landscape and architectural projects leading to implementation, is conducted in partnership with European municipalities, local authorities and clients – and is organised as a joint initiative by 12 European structures.

This session topic was: Re-sourcing. The fragility of the Earth's ecosystem and social crises lead to the imagination of alternative design practices, to regenerating projects embracing nature and culture between biogeophysical data with socio-spatial justice and health ones around the ecologies of living and caring.

The 10 national juries drew up a shortlist of 236 proposals between June and November 2025. These jury sessions were followed by a European comparative analysis of the shortlisted ideas, which took place at the Forum of Cities and Juries held from Oct. 16th and 18th, 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal. The final selection of the winning projects by the national juries was done by the beginning of November.

Each winning and runner-up teams, respectively, receive a prize of 12,000€ and 6,000€, so overall 822 000€ are distributed.

During 2026, the winning teams’ portraits will be published on Europan Europe website – www.europan-europe.eu. An exhibition of all the winning projects will be set up during the Inter-Sessions Forum in 2026, to which the winning teams will participate, they will also receive a E18 Results Catalogue.

A E18 results catalogue will present the winning ideas and the jury's perspectives. Experts will analyze the results from various angles related to the theme of "Re-sourcing." The digital catalogue will be available for purchase (on the European website) and for free online viewing (low resolution, not downloadable).
