1. How do you define the main issues of your project in relation with the theme “Re-sourcing”? Re-sourcing thanks to nature, to social dynamics, to new materiality? In which way do you think your project can contribute to an ecological and/or social evolution? And in which way do you think your project can be called a “regenerative project”?
Our strategies are strongly grounded in the existing conditions. After studying the current state and materiality of the site—including the existing paving, vegetation, and bullring—the project introduces flexible, everyday cultural activities. We aim to explore the potential to reimagine the existing and to foster a diversity of collective activities.

2. How did the issues of your design and the questions raised by the site mutation meet?
We adopt a clear, precise, and pragmatic approach to respond to the current conditions of the site. Moreover, this recognizable, framework-like intervention provides different communities with freedom, maximizing opportunities for flexible engagement.

3. Have you treated these issues previously? What were the reference projects that inspired yours?
The working process mainly involves analyzing and understanding the existing conditions of the site and seeking a framework for the coexistence of multiple activities. In this regard, Ungers’ Berlin Green Islands project serves as a reference at the urban scale, while the work of Lacaton & Vassal and OMA is also significant, particularly in integrating diverse functional spaces with maximum flexibility.

4. How can your project be implemented together with the actors through a negotiated process and in time. How did you consider this issue in your project?
Through a precise intervention, the project accommodates different construction phases, providing transitional programs for surrounding residents during the transformation. In addition, the cultural facilities within the mezzanine levels of the new building offer a high degree of flexibility, which can be adapted and defined in collaboration with diverse communities.

5. How did you form the team for the competition and if so what are the skills you associated?
We came to know each other through our international experience. Drawing on our diverse professional backgrounds in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and engineering, as well as our experience with renewal and adaptive reuse projects, we have formed a strong, multidisciplinary team.

6. How could this prize help you in your professional career?
Beyond the expectation of the committee’s ongoing work, this proposal aims to provide a reference for urban renewal and transformation in a metropolitan context. Through interventions within the existing conditions, we explore the possibilities for diverse coexistence within the material realities.
