E12 - More than 2,000 registrations - Time to register!
More than 2,000 teams from all over Europe have already registered for the E12 competition!
There are still six weeks left before the deadline for sending your project, but there is still time to register.
And there are still very interesting sites without too much participation and where the chance to win thus are bigger! Don't hesitate to take advantage of this…

Austria
- Amstetten - Take advantage of the terrains offered by the railway company for urban development to adapt its border as a productive limit with 2 faces: one directed to the city, the other one to the trains.
- Graz - Integrate former industrial areas in a sustainable living-working environment and define in which way to consider the heritage of the industrial structure.
- Wien - Kagran - Transform a commercial area dominated by the structure of shopping into an attractive urban quarter, with housing infiltrating its mono-functionality and gradually re-shaping the space.
- Wien - Siemensäcker - Operate a gradual conversion of the large industrial estate of Siemensäcker to more compact units in order to create more sustainable urban environments.
Denmark
- Aalborg - Establish a light railway in the Vestbyen neighbourhood & provide an ideal opportunity to kick-start the development of the entire area
Finland
- Kuopio - Find new uses for a former campus area and its buildings to unite the split area as well as better connect it to the city center.
Germany
- Bitterfeld-Wolfen - Determine the shape and extent of reorientation the town centre with a sustainable urban expansion around the nearby town quay and enjoy the outstanding development potential offered by the two wasteland sites in Garden City and at Town Quay.
- Donauwörth - Find a new use for the former Alfred Delp Barracks & improve the links between the site and the old town.
- Heidelberg - Convert the former Campbell Barracks to civil use and achieve sustainable development to give equal consideration to social, cultural, ecological & economic aspects.
- Kaufbeuren - Redevelop a former air base & provide a strategic approach to the conversion of the site into an urban district.
- Mannheim - Reconfigure a strategic point on the backbone of the city to expand the city's development, redefine the approach of the city and improve the crosslinks with the neighborhoods.
- Regionale 2016 - From the Regionale 2016 motto - “Living on the fringe – Developing new qualities” - develop a sustainable approach to land-use changes to consolidate and upgrade the existing population nuclei.
Hungary
- Budapest - Come with a new strategy to (re)activate the Rákos-creek and reintroduce its former ecological, cultural and social values.
Norway
- Bærum - Propose a strategy for the development of a carbon neutral area in the post-industrial area of Hamang, one of the most central nodes in the Oslo region.
Portugal
- Vila Viçosa - Try to preserve an important architectural and urban heritage in the context of a reactivating process of urban life and resources
Sweden
- Hammarö - Create an independent housing community with a clear ecologically and socially sustainable profile.
- Haninge - Get a chance to renew Haninge's city center through the introduction of new urban ideals into a street space that bears the mark of modernistic large scale planning!
- Höganäs - How can the organic expansion of a new neighbourhood be achieved and integrated into the existing urban fabric? How can a long term sustainable development help heal isolated areas?
- Kristinehamn - Shape the future evolution of the lakeside town centre. The project could function as a hub between different parts of the city.
